Aegisonic

Aegisonic. Tagline: equitable acoustics.

Aegisonic is a venture developing an adaptive audio headset designed to support individuals with heightened sound sensitivity and autism, offering a comfortable, equitable sonic experience for all.

Founded by my longtime friend Harilaos Rentzeperis, Aegisonic was kickstarted during a Mount Sinai development program. I’ve served as design advisor through the project launch, contributing to branding, strategy, communications, and user-experience.

Aegisonic was selected as a winner at the Mount Sinai Discovery & Innovation Hub Pitch Day competition in December 2025. Aegisonic will join the Mount Sinai Incubator in early 2026.

Brand identity

The etymology of Aegisonic comes from the Greek root “aegis,” meaning “shield,” and the Latin root “sonic,” meaning “sound.” I crafted the brand name and the blue-toned logo to evoke the healthcare device’s core qualities of trust and protection through representative, real-world language and symbology.
