Anvilor

Anvilor is a software company founded in 2024 by Tim Kutcher which applies a JSON schema-based framework to develop custom, clean, and reliable data-collection solutions. I served as design lead through the company’s launch, and later as UX researcher & designer in support of an AI-assisted form-building tool.

Company launch

Through Anvilor’s launch as a company, I guided brand development, advised product strategy, developed its website, and creating marketing materials.

I worked in close collaboration with Tim, where through consistent, in-depth conversations, I was able to form an understanding not just of the character, tone, and philosophy of Anvilor—which informed the brand—but of it’s position in the market, it’s product, audience, and goals—which informed the messaging.

I stylized the Anvilor workmark with logical operators and binary numbers to symbolize the framework’s strength in custom form logic.

AI-assisted form builder UX

I lead research and design for an AI-assisted form building tool, conducting usability testing and presenting findings which refined product strategy.

The team sought to leverage LLMs as a way to empower consumers to build their own forms, with a particular emphasis on conditional logic. User testing however revealed a weaker market fit than hypothesized, with everyday users struggling to conceptualize a data-first, reverse-engineered form-develop process. I identified the upside the framework offered for industries where data cleanliness and accuracy were high priorities, such as in healthcare.
